The YPHS pathway is not a fixed program with a set timeline. It is a flexible, individualized journey that meets young people where they are and helps them move toward where they want to go.
Youth enter based on where they are and what they need. Some may start at Discover. Others may already have direction and need to Develop specific skills. Some may be ready for Experience or Opportunity. The pathway adapts to you.
There is no fixed four-year timeline. There is no single destination. The pathway is yours.

Explore your strengths, interests, talents, values and possibilities. You don't need to have everything figured out — this is where you start to understand what matters to you and where you could go.

Develop relevant skills, knowledge, confidence, readiness and practical capabilities. YPHS helps you identify the gap between where you are and where you want to go — and start closing it.
Experience
Learn by doing.
Gain practical exposure through mentorship, projects, volunteering, workplace experiences, job shadowing and other real-world opportunities. Experience builds confidence and opens doors.
Opportunity

Connect with employers, mentors, professionals, tradespeople, entrepreneurs, education and training providers, community organizations and other relevant opportunities. When you're ready, we'll help connect you with people and opportunities that can move you forward.
